SUMMARY OF PROCEEDINGS : Indore

After the Successful engagement with more than 90,000 SMEs ,across 40 cities along with more than 99,Experts,in the last year promoting the essence and importance of entrepreneurship through its Knowledge sharing series "Secrets of Success"India SME Forum launched India's first ever 'Woman Entrepreneur business leadership series "Workshop & Networking program which will be conducted in 10 major cities starting Indore which was the first such event in the series and will progress to Delhi,Hyderabad,Vijaywada,Kochi, Bangalore Chennai Kanpur Pune, and will culminate at Mumbai with Woman entrepreneur Awards ceremony
The Women entrepreneur program on leadership witnessed the presence of Veteran BJP leader and sitting MP from Indore Sumitra Mahajan as the chief guest of the event which was held at Hotel Fortune Landmark on 1st June 2014 in association with the local Industry & Trade Associations.
Mrs Sumitra Mahajan addressed the enthusiastic participants presenting her views on the importance to create systematic awareness about women's entrepreneurship that is imperative to formulate policy initiative and actions to acknowledge and promote the positive impact of their work in improving living conditions for their families and development of the economy.
This successful 1day event on Women entrepreneurship provided an excellent opportunity for relevant Women participants who discussed interactively the challenges, as well as strategies for promoting their businesses
Gathering together over 180 Women participants from the Indore Region brought forward concrete issues that needs a dynamic approach that will foster the entrepreneurial development by proactively facilitating and channelizing the needs of these entrepreneurs that can grow and sustain businesses .
The program was categorized in two sessions namely GROWING MONEY ON TREES : FINANCE FOR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH &'MORE FOR LESS' - CUSTOMERS, MARKETS, BRANDS & MEDIA and was aimed at improving the management aptitudes of Women Entrepreneurs and sharing best practices on Building women entrepreneurial capacity and skills, building networks, business partnerships and trade linkages to learn how to scale up business with cost effective tools of engagement for growth &expansion and were industry veterans namely Mrs Usha Ananthasubramanian, CMD Bhartiya Mahila Bank Ltd Ms. Reena Jain, MD, Shri Elastic Pvt Ltd.Ms. Unati Singh, Director, Manasi Beauty Academy, Ad& Media Guru Prahlad Kakkar , Ms. Jaya Juneja, MD, J Fine Design & Jalsa Banquets, Indore Mrs. Abha Shah Deora, Founder, Proprietor & Principal, Humpty Dumpty School
The experts deliberated on the need and importance of establishing and shaping the regulatory, legal and social environment in which the women can work and establish their businesses
Discussing the importance of Marketing Ad and Media Guru Prahlad Kakkar shared insights on how to reach out to the customers and build great brands .He also commended the noteworthy contributions of all the Women entrepreneurs who have been successful in carving a road of progress for themselves

Among others present were Association of Industries MP President Hemant Mehtani Member of IMA Professional women's forum Mrs Ritu Grover,secretary of Associations of Industries Mr Pramod Dafaria
Mr. Vinod Kumar ,Country Head SDRC & Honorary VP India SME Forum summarized the session and emphasized on the need to bring more women into positions of economic influence by giving them the mandates and tools that they need in order to become entrepreneurial
Inorder to reach out to more such women entrepreneurs India SME Forum plans to go to major towns and cities to engage with and raise the visibility of successful women entrepreneurs in India and to offer a platform to engage with Industry leaders and veterans who have already carved a niche for themselves and provide Best practices as well as information, success stories and case studies
