Description of the Scheme: Provide financial support to the youths of Assam to take up income generating activities in the manufacturing, trading and service sector.

Manufacturing, Processing, Service sector, Trading, Rural transport service (Auto rickshaw, e-Rickshaw), Tourism, Shops, Repairing centres, Handicraft, Cottage industries, etc.

Eligibility Criteria:

Nature & Mode of Assistance: Assistance would be up to Rs.1 lakh for new entrepreneurs and up to Rs.2 lakh for existing entrepreneurs. Beneficiary contribution will be maximum of 25% of the total project cost.

"Financial Information (Subsidy, low interest rate, etc.)": Under this scheme financial assistance of Rs, 50,000 will be provided to 2 lacs beneficiaries of the state. This financial help will be provided to self-help groups of 5 to 20 members.

"Other Assistance (Procurement of machinery, Technology /Marketing, International Cooperation, etc.)": 1. Selected candidates have to undergo a compulsory training program of 3-5 days under any identified agency, for example- Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE).
2. Post-Completion of training a Training Allowance will be provided.
3. After this, the first instalment will be released only for the beneficiaries who attended the training. The amount will be provided directly into the bank account of the beneficiary.
4. Finally, after three months, the beneficiary has to submit an Activity Report to the DLCIC. The report will determine the further allocation of funds and release of the second instalment of the scheme.

How to apply: Project proposals will be invited from beneficiaries at District level through advertisement. Application will be received with supporting documents and need to be uploaded online.
