Description of the Scheme: Centrally sponsored scheme, implemented in mission mode and divided into Mini Missions: Mini Mission-I, Mini Mission-II, Mini Mission-III, And Mini Mission-IV.

Eligibility Criteria:

Nature & Mode of Assistance: Mini Mission-I deals with research and development in horticulture and is being implemented by ICAR.

Mini Mission-II deals with area expansion programme which apart from cultivation of crops includes aspects like establishment of public/private nurseries, creation of water source, drip irrigation, green houses, mushroom production units, tissue culture labs, plant health clinics, etc.

"Financial Information (Subsidy, low interest rate, etc.)":

"Other Assistance (Procurement of machinery, Technology /Marketing, International Cooperation, etc.)": It aim to also provide infrastructure facilities for post harvest and marketing, export aspects.
