SUMMARY OF PROCEEDINGS: SURAT

The India SME Forum had organized “Business Leadership Series”- a day long mentoring workshop for Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) where, the finest experts and mentors from the industry guided small industrialist on FINANCE FOR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH, CUSTOMERS, MARKETS, BRANDS & MEDIA.
This program was held on 28th November 2014 at​ The Taj Gateway Hotel Athwalines, Surat.
The program was supported by Reliance Commercial Finance, eBay India, MSME Ministry, BSE SME, SDRC India, and Mahindra & Mahindra.

It was held in two sessions and aimed at giving tips to budding small scale industrialist and entrepreneurs. First session explained ‘Growing Money on Trees’- finances for sustainable growth and the second session was on ’More for less’- Customer, market and brand.

The guest speakers and mentors at the workshop included - Mr. Bharat Patel, Partner, Swastik Imaging; Mr. Girish Luthra, Chairman, Luthra Group of Companies; Mr. Nimesh Parikh, Head-Risk Containment Unit and Policy Function, Reliance Commercial Finance & Home Finance; Mr. Vinod Kumar, Managing Partner-India & Middle East, SDRC India Advisors LLP; Mr. Parth Shah, Assistant Manager, BSE SME. India SME Forum, Director General, Ms. Sushma Morthania said, “We provide platform to all those entrepreneurs who want to spread their business and have the potential to make it big.”

Mr.Vinod Kumar, Country Manager & Senior Partner – India & Middle East -SDRC INDIA ADVISORS LLP said, “Every entrepreneur should nurture his business in the best possible way he can. Getting finance from organized sector will be helpful for them.”

The workshop also included Case Studies & Exercise with Mr. Nimish Parikh, Head-Risk Containment Unit and Policy Function, Reliance Commercial Finance & Home Finance and the second mentor included Mr. Parth Shah, Assistant Manager, BSE SME.

The program also included open house question and answer session to resolve doubts and queries of the SMEs. The session concluded by one-to-one interactive session with the mentor (Mr.Vinod Kumar, Mr. Vamsi Kumar and Mr. Nimesh Parikh), where assembled entrepreneurs participated enthusiastically to clear their doubts on various aspects of funding, branding and managing growth for profitability.
