SUMMARY OF PROCEEDINGS: NAGPUR

India SME forum is an open platform initiative for Small and Medium Enterprises which engages with over 3, 00,000 companies, to offers them help with lessons on key issues like financing, business management, infrastructure along with marketing and branding. One of the initiatives of India SME Forum is Business Leadership Series which took place on 14th November 2014 at Hotel Tuli Imperial, Nagpur. The 3rd city of the series of Business Leadership Series presented by Reliance Commercial Finance and powered by ebay.in had an active participation of over 80 SMEs. The program is supported by MSME Ministry, BSE SME, SDRC India, and Mahindra & Mahindra.

The workshop started by lamp lighting ceremony by Mr. Nimish Parikh, Head-Risk Containment Unit and Policy Function Reliance Commercial Finance & Home Finance; Mr. Vinod Kumar, Managing Partner-India & Middle East, SDRC India Advisors LLP; Mr. Arun C. Singhania, Vedi Offset and Printing Home Industries; Mr. Ashit Sinha, Vice President, Vidarbha Industries Association; Mr. Parag Patki Ex-CEO, SMERA Ratings Ltd.

The one-day educational and interactive program addressed critical issues of entrepreneurship in Finance, Marketing, and Branding. The program is divided into two modules Part A: GROWING MONEY ON TREES- FINANCE FOR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH Part B: 'MORE FOR LESS' - CUSTOMERS, MARKETS, BRANDS & MEDIA

The panel discussion with Mr.Arun Singhania, Mr.Vinod Kumar, Mr.Nimish Parikh, Mr.Parag Patki elaborated business myths like, you need lots of money to start a business, you should not start a business without first having a clear business plan, were explained to the delegates with discussions.

The workshop also included some live case studies of industries that have notched up a sizeable business for themselves and have ability to scale up with a wish to grow further. Mr. Rahul Kale, Co-Founder, Iraya Cosmetics explained his business process of growth and expansion and managing crises situations. The program was a knowledge sharing platform and providing facilitation to Small and Medium Entrepreneurs.
